The Beehive in the South End

Last Friday, Lauren,  Graham and I went to an early dinner at The Beehive in the South End. The Beehive is a really fun spot with entertainment every night of the week! They have a full calendar of  bands that play nightly from 8:00pm until 2:00am, but the really good news is that they have a dinner jazz set on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30-8:00!!! Yes! I can stay up that late,  maybe even later! Last Friday,  there was a woman named Ceci Kim singing some jazzy blues who was great! Check out their calendar and their menus at www.beehiveboston.com.

We had mostly appetizer type food;  a pizza and a Mezze Platter which is humus, salads, whipped feta, olives and pickles. Lauren thought the humus was good and we both loved  the truffled potato and cheese pierogies with carmalized onions and sour cream. Our waitress mentioned that the pierogies were her favorite and of course, it reminded us of our days in Prague.

I need to go back to the Beehive and try their dinner menu, but for now I would say that this is a great place to meet for drinks before heading out somewhere else in the  South End. They also have a Jazz Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Wouldn’t it be great to go to brunch, listen to jazz and then go to a matinée at the Boston Center for the Arts or in the Theater district? This would also be a great spot for a girls night out…who wants to go?

  2. Can You include addresses and phone numbers in your listings? It would be very helpful.
